![]() The big Smash Ultimate change is that Nana, the pink Climber, can no longer grab. ![]() If both Climbers are alive, their recovery is spectacular. Otherwise, the hammer hits can still slam, the damage potential is high, and ice blocks can guard the edge. After a noticeable absence in the last Super Smash Bros., the Climbers play every bit the way they should in Smash Ultimate - save for one major change. Strengths & Weaknessesįinally, the most delightful, annoying duo is back. You also move as normal, so be wary of self-destructing. You can control the iceberg with left and right inputs. Opponents are hit each time they touch it. Iceberg (Final Smash) – A huge iceberg emerges in the center of the stage. On an already frozen foe, this prolongs their freeze. Directional input can move them left and right.īelay (Up + B) – Nana pulls on the rope that Popo throws, and the two work together to jump up high.īlizzard (Down + B) – Unleash an icy flurry that may freeze foes. Squall Hammer (Side + B) – Twirl with their hammers extended. The chunks slide on the ground and bounce off walls. Ice Shot (B) – Create ice chunks and hit them with their hammers. You can even switch up which of the pair - Nana or Popo - is the lead fighter by switching your costumes.Īccording to the duo’s official Nintendo description…īack in the battle after a ten-year absence! There are two of them, so does that make them twice as strong as other fighters? They’re still technically two characters in one, too. But apparently Nintendo didn’t completely forget about the incredibly annoying pair. The Ice Climbers didn’t make it into Super Smash Bros.
